This toolkit has been developed as an introduction to online learning, to the learning environment as well as a resource for you to access throughout the subject specific online workshop for which you are registered.
This course will give you a quick overview of how online courses function as part of your IB curriculum. Whether you're new to online learning or a seasoned expert, you'll find that our courses all have similarities in the way they're structured, which can be helpful to know before you get started. This course takes about 10 minutes to complete and will give you a map for the journey you're about to take.
Some of our online resources, particularly the module content, will load in pop-up windows. Sometimes browsers or pop-up blocking software will prevent these windows from displaying. Please make sure you disable any pop-up blocking software while using Moodle.
Discussions play a key role in our workshops. The discussion forum is where you will collaborate, reflect on content and engage with workshop leaders and learners.
To communicate publicly with everyone in your workshop, you will use discussion forums, but for private communication with facilitators or others, you can use messaging.
